GLITCH #1 ( intro )

[ Wherever you were before, you're not there anymore. This incredibly creative and original premise is the start of your interdimensional journey, and you're starting here, in Sitihir—inside of a large Starbucks, to be precise.

Everyone inside the Starbucks today has been gifted with a nametag that reads as follows:

HELLO! My name is _______

But whatever is in that blank is most certainly not your name! Perhaps it's an obscure nickname, or something rude, or something flattering! Either way, you're not leaving this Starbucks until you've given your actual name to at least four other visitors, so have fun.

Once you've completed your task, a barista will hand you a welcoming letter:

Welcome to Sitihir! We apologize for the sudden glitch in the system but please take this opportunity to explore the vast world (worlds!) we have to offer you. Should you find it to your liking, you are welcome to stay for as long as you want. If you are itching to return to your home, there is a map on the back of this sheet that will guide you there. Thank you for visiting Sitihir, and may all of your travels be blessed! ~The Programmers

And so there is indeed a map to your character's home world's door on the back, free for them to return to at any time. ]

( OOC: OOC intro stuff is over here, and with this the game is officially open to all posting! contact any player for the password to [personal profile] glitchier if you want to use it to make glitch posts! have fun! )

[Yosuke was already flushed enough, without the guy taking pity on him and apologizing. What should've been a nice gesture just made him feel more embarrassed.]

It's fine, it's whatever, let's just... forget they're here and focus on all the this. [He waved a hand around vaguely, gesturing to the large Starbucks logo hanging over the counter.]

[ Consider it forgotten! ]

Do you want a coffee? [ Coffee tends to help with focusing, after all. It also makes you irresistible to girls. ]
epicfailure: ('cause we were good in bed.)

My... wallet is in my locker back at Junes. [He said it without thinking, not even considering that the guy wouldn't know what he was talking about.]

[ And he'd just come back from being some kind of metaphysical entity keeping the moon in check of something. Problematic.

There aren't any prices listed, though, so maybe... ]
I'll be right back.

[ Turns out everything free here. Nice. Minato comes back shortly after with two grande cups, and hands one off to Yosuke. ]

There. Now we can focus. I'm Minato. [ Not Manwhore. ]
epicfailure: (i miss the faces.)

[Yosuke accepted the coffee with some trepedition. Did the guy really spot him one? He wasn't the type to turn away someone picking up the check -- especially when, more often than not, he was the one spotting everyone else -- but it was a little weird coming from another dude he didn't even know.

Still. It smelled pretty good.]

Yosuke Hanamura. [Not Diesel Dye. He took the coffee in one hand and stuck out his other in greeting.] Where are you from?

[personal profile] moribundity 2013-05-02 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
[ Everywhere. Nowhere. ] Iwatodai. You?

[ He extends his hand and gives Yosuke a rather floppy handshake, looking at him closely as if to determine the answer to that question from Yosuke's looks alone... ] Nice headphones.
epicfailure: (to sing to more than just the steering w)

Inaba. Er, formerly Tokyo. You probably haven't heard of Inaba. [He reached up to touch his headphones gingerly at the compliment, pleased. They were technically in violation of the part-timer's dress code, but he usually snuck them on during his break to unwind.] Uh, yours are nice, too. I think I've seen those in a magazine.

[personal profile] moribundity 2013-05-02 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
I've heard of it. [ Very vaguely... it sounds familiar, at least. Enough to tell a white lie about knowing it, anyway. ]

Thanks. Took me a while to save up. And I've actually lived in Tokyo. [ For about six months when he was ten or eleven. But hey, common ground. A celebratory sip of coffee is in order. ]
epicfailure: (in favorable slavery.)

[Even if the guy was just being polite, Yosuke couldn't help raising his cup along with him, genuinely feeling at ease. The dude sort of exuded cool -- a feature Yosuke was still pretty susceptible to. Certain guys just made you want to please them, or somehow earn your presence with them. Minato had the same feel about him that Souji did, when they first met.]

Seriously? How long?

[personal profile] moribundity 2013-05-02 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
A few months when I was little. [ He shrugs. No big deal. No need to ask about it either. While he doesn't find it strictly uncomfortable to talk about his past, he's noticed a trend where most people who express curiosity about it eventually start to feel uncomfortable when he starts telling them.

So he tries not to. ]
epicfailure: (been there done that.)

[personal profile] epicfailure 2013-05-02 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
That's cool. [Yosuke assessed, as if his opinion might really matter to the guy.] I was born there, my family only just moved out to the sticks a few years ago.

How have you been dealing with the quiet country life?

[ It might strike him as strange that they're having normal small talk in a strange Starbucks that apparently connects worlds, but it doesn't. Just another day in the life. Or death. It's enjoyable, at any rate. And this coffee is really good. ]
epicfailure: (look at this photograph.)

[personal profile] epicfailure 2013-05-02 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
It's really not as quiet as you'd think. [Yosuke's laugh may have been a little more private than anything -- some inside joke that Minato wasn't privy to. He didn't elaborate much on that, though.] It really sucks being so far away from everything, though. Nobody plays shows in Inaba.

Oh, except my friend Rise, sometimes. You ever heard of her? Risette, the pop idol?

[Yosuke '"Subtle" Name Dropper' Hanamura, at your ervice.]
