GLITCH #1 ( intro )
[ Wherever you were before, you're not there anymore. This incredibly creative and original premise is the start of your interdimensional journey, and you're starting here, in Sitihir—inside of a large Starbucks, to be precise.
Everyone inside the Starbucks today has been gifted with a nametag that reads as follows:
HELLO! My name is _______
But whatever is in that blank is most certainly not your name! Perhaps it's an obscure nickname, or something rude, or something flattering! Either way, you're not leaving this Starbucks until you've given your actual name to at least four other visitors, so have fun.
Once you've completed your task, a barista will hand you a welcoming letter:
Welcome to Sitihir! We apologize for the sudden glitch in the system but please take this opportunity to explore the vast world (worlds!) we have to offer you. Should you find it to your liking, you are welcome to stay for as long as you want. If you are itching to return to your home, there is a map on the back of this sheet that will guide you there. Thank you for visiting Sitihir, and may all of your travels be blessed! ~The Programmers
And so there is indeed a map to your character's home world's door on the back, free for them to return to at any time. ]

with the crowding in the coffee shop, and the limited space to begin with, all he can do is aim the toe of his shoe at her teeth—somewhat unintentionally, it's more like it happened and he's just kicking by reflex... ]

You're not my big brother!
no subject
N-No, I'm not... Please leave me alone.

... Or so Yosuke thought, until he jogged close enough to see Jun's nametag. He stopped short just in front of Jun's table, deeply regretting each step that brought him here. Who the hell advertised that kind of thing? And why the heck didn't he notice it until after he made a big show of running over?! Now he had to say something!]
--Uh.
no subject
jun is embarrassed about his (though he also acknowledges that it's true as fuck) but is ultimately more concerned with, uh, his life, at the moment. ]
... What is it?
[ you came over here to talk to him, right? what do u want ]
no subject
[Crap. Think fast, Hanamura!]
That's a pretty cool, uh. Flower. [That's... not terrible! Could be worse!] I just wanted to come over and, uh... tell you. That. That's all!
no subject
Oh, um... thank you. [ does that nametag say "diesel dyke"? ] It's a yellow iris.
no subject
--And had he really just brought up his mom to the guy with the mommy feefees badge on his chest? It's like his mouth wanted to dig him a hole.]
N-not that, y'know! I mean... she doesn't like a lot of stuff too! Nobody's parents are perfect, heh... !
no subject
Are you okay? Maybe you should... sit down for a minute. I think we're all a little confused right now.
no subject
Sit down... right. Sorry. [He tentatively did so, feeling a little more relaxed already. If the guy was going to chew him out for rudeness, he would've already done it.] You just looked kinda normal from across the room, so I thought maybe we could help each other out.
no subject
Um, I guess so... [ the truth is he's not very normal at all, but he can't really describe that to this guy. ] Are you here alone?
no subject
I mean, yeah, I think so, technically. I haven't really looked around that much... there are a lot of people here. How about you?

Maya...?

there's no mistaking that face. he knows jun under the mask, and to see him so clearly wounded by something is distressing to king leo, who looks up to the joker as a figure of ultimate power, and something that causes an ache deep in the heart of tatsuya sudou, who cares way too passionately for someone he sees himself unworthy to even touch.
he's not a particularly logical person, nor is he delicate with the emotions of others, but the joker's patience is short and he knows better than to rattle the cage by rushing forward. he's not even worried about the tag of SIMBA on his chest, however, when he approaches with his posture submissive. ]
Master.

jun had always held a deep pity for sudou, and they shared a reverence for his father, among other things. he still does pity him, but more than that he regrets freeing him from where he regrettably belonged—an asylum. he'd hurt and even killed a lot of people on jun's behalf. he'd also threatened maya, and that was unforgivable.
and now... well, jun hadn't exactly made a public renouncement of his title. that probably wouldn't have gone well. so what now? ]
K-King... Leo...
[ how is this happening ]
no subject
he licks his lips, breath stuttering in response to jun calling his title. his superior sounds neither proud nor relieved, and his body language doesn't give sudou much more. ]
If you're here as well, there must be a reason! For what purpose have I been summoned, Exalted One?
[ he doesn't want to think that jun was thrown off course by any higher power, but... this all seems less-than-planned. ]
no subject
[ "didn't summon you, i don't even know why i'm here much less why you're here", are among the things he could say, but somehow that doesn't seem like the most intelligent course of action in the presence of a known psychopath in a room full of (probably) innocent people. don't want to... stir any pots, so to speak. but he doesn't want to deal with this, either. he had resolved and accepted his fate, so why is it coming back to bite him now? not that he doesn't deserve to face up to what he's done, including such crimes as making some poor bastard believe in his (not entirely false) divinity, but he was kind of looking forward to starting over, too. ]
I mean... I think you're mistaken. The person you're looking for is gone. I'm just Jun.
no subject
I...
[ okay, but the illusion is already kind of shattering anyway, but he knows this just has to be some kind of mistake and not a permanent fixture in the exalted one's psyche. ]
Impossible. It's impossible...
no subject
[ he says it firmly but with a touch of that same kindness he's always carried—he doesn't want to aggravate sudou more than necessary, and thinks that maybe he'll still listen to him in some way if he... plays his cards right. honestly, he hadn't thought much about what would come after their deal with philemon... because he hadn't expected there to be an "after". not one like this. ]
I don't know why either of us are here, or where we are. It doesn't look like Sumaru, does it?
[ deliberately does not call it xibalba!! ]
no subject
if master joker doesn't have a plan, then one must be constructed. that's the logical progression, but... ]
You're right, but even so—to consider this a setback instead of an opportunity would be foolish.
[ if he doesn't have guidance, he'll quickly fall apart again. he needs something from somebody, and jun is the only person since akinari kashihara who has been willing to grant him even the smallest chance. maybe he was made to always be controlled, but he would rather have a reason to use the voices than to simply buckle under their influence. ]
